February 2014 notes

Congratulations to our swimmers who took part in the recent “B” gala in UL.  This was the first time the club participated in a “long course” event i.e. in a 50 metre Olympic-size swimming pool.

Norin Maher won gold in the Individual Medley and silver in the 200 metres Freestyle while Erin Crowley won a bronze medal in the 200 metres Freestyle.

Thanks to our coach, Oran, who was in charge of our team and to the parents who travelled on the bus to Limerick and who volunteered for time keeping and turn duty on the day.
