Congratulations to all our swimmers who took part in the Grade “A” gala in Tralee recently.  There were some substantial improvements by our swimmers on their own “personal best” times for events and a very satisfactory collection of medals.

Under 13 Girls – Margaret O’Brien took gold in the 400 metres freestyle, the 400 metres Individual Medley and in the 100 metres butterfly while Niamh Coffey won gold in the 200 metres butterfly and Treasa O’Sullivan won bronze in the 200 metres backstroke and the 400 metres Individual Medley.

Under 15 Boys – Shane Kerins won gold medals in the 200 and in the 100 metres butterfly while also taking a silver medal in the 400 metres Individual Medley and in the 400 metres freestyle.  Robert O’Brien won silver in the 100 metres breaststroke and bronze medals in the 400 metres Individual Medley and 400 metres freestyle.

Under 17 Boys – Shane Courtney took bronze in the hard-fought 200 metres butterfly.

Thanks to our lead-coach, Kristian O’Donovan, who gave huge support and encouragement to all our swimmers.  Thanks also to all parents for travelling.
