Congratulations to all our swimmers who took part in the Mallow Invitational Gala at the weekend. Some great PB’s achieved.

Boys under 15 – Nathan O’Connor won a great pair of silvers in the 100 freestyle and 50 butterfly.

Girls under 16 – Killarney girls were in flying form in this category with Ellen O’Connor winning gold in the 50 breaststroke and silver in the 200 breaststroke while Ellen Farndon took silver in the 100 backstroke and bronze in the 50 freestyle and Aisling Coffey won a fantastic bronze in the 100 butterfly.

Boys under 18 – As always, Paul O’Leary produced the goods for Killarney, winning a silver medal in the 50 breaststroke and a bronze in the 50 butterfly.

Thanks to our coach for the weekend, John Edwards whose encouragement was fantastic. Thanks also to our more “mature” swimmers Sean, Paul , Nathan, Aisling and the two Ellen’s who gave great encouragement from the deck and well done to our younger swimmers, Jessica, Cliodhna, Meabh ,Roisin, Fiachra and Cathal who did us proud on the day, especially Meabh who notched up a brilliant PB despite some “technical difficulties” in one race!

Thanks also to all parents for travelling and particularly to those who took part in timekeeping duties.
